Harry Pino, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Tufts University Obesity Consultation Center Director of the Exercise Physiology Program Assistant Clinical Professor at the Tufts Univ. School of Medicine. Harry Pino, PhD earned his doctorate in Exercise Physiology from Pacific Western University and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Pino has more than 20 years of experience working in the areas of wellness, risk factor reduction and lifestyle intervention, cardiology and obesity. Dr. Pino is on the editorial board and reviewer for Bariatric Surgical Nursing and Patient Care and Bariatric Times and has also published articles in the aforementioned journals. He has presented, nationally and internationally, on various aspects of exercise physiology particularly concerning obesity. As an active participant in the field of exercise physiology, he remains on the Board of Accreditation for the Society of Exercise Physiologists and the Executive Board for the Massachusetts Association of Clinical Exercise Physiologists. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Wang YMCA at Chinatown (Boston, MA). In the past several years Dr. Pino has served as the Clinical Integration Director for Celebration Health at Florida Hospital, and has served as the Clinical Exercise Physiologist for several wellness, cardiac rehab and risk reduction programs. His years of experience include working closely with both healthy adults and children, and individuals with cardiac and obesity risk factors. His practical and clinical experience includes lifestyle intervention strategies for the ?at risk? cardiac and obese patient, cardiovascular conditioning and muscle strengthening. Dr. Pino?s research interests include physical activity and long-term weight loss, physical activity as a lifestyle intervention strategy, and muscle strengthening and weight loss |
